CaraLee MacLean founded Tilly’s Balance Company with a clear focus—help people understand their finances and make confident, informed decisions.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting, along with a diploma in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. Her background combines formal education with hands-on experience across both financial operations and business growth.
Prior to launching Tilly’s Balance Company, CaraLee worked in financial roles managing payroll, HST filings, invoicing, cash flow, tax preparation, and day-to-day operations, while supporting client needs and maintaining compliance.
Alongside her accounting experience, she has over four years of marketing experience, primarily focused on social media management, along with branding work including logo design, business cards, and other marketing materials. This experience gives her a practical understanding of how businesses attract and retain clients—not just how they track their numbers.
This combined perspective allows CaraLee to look beyond the numbers, helping clients stay organized while also making decisions that support long-term growth.
Today, she works with individuals and small businesses to provide clear guidance, practical support, and a level of understanding that helps clients move forward with confidence.
At Tilly’s Balance Company, our mission is to make every client feel valued—regardless of their situation.
We believe your finances and your business should be handled with care, attention, and intention. That means not only getting the work done, but taking the time to walk you through it so you understand what’s happening and why.
We approach every client relationship as a partnership. We care about the work we do—and for it to truly work, we ask that you care too.
Because when you understand your finances, you can take control of them.
Tilly’s Balance Company was built from a simple but frustrating reality—too many people are overlooked when it comes to their finances.
After experiencing firsthand what it feels like to be pushed aside, left until the last minute, or treated as though your situation doesn’t matter, it became clear that something needed to be done differently. Too often, financial support is given based on perceived value, rather than real need.
This business was created on the belief that everyone deserves the same level of care, attention, and opportunity—regardless of income or complexity.
At its core, Tilly’s Balance Company is about helping people understand their money, their patterns, and their potential. Because long-term success isn’t just about what you earn—it’s about how you manage it, and the habits you build along the way.
The name “Tilly” comes from a childhood nickname, given at a time when certain skills were still developing. It’s a reminder that growth takes time—and that with the right support, what feels difficult can become second nature.
“Balance” reflects the way we approach both finances and business. Managing money is a balance between structure and flexibility, just as building a business requires balancing visibility, strategy, and consistency. Getting that balance right is what allows people to grow with confidence.
That same idea carries into the experience itself. From the moment you walk in, the environment is designed to feel calm, natural, and grounded—because financial conversations shouldn’t feel overwhelming. They should feel manageable.
More than anything, this business is built on relationships. Every client is treated with the same level of respect, care, and attention. The goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, confident in the answers you receive, and supported in the decisions you make.
Working together should feel approachable—like you’re talking things through with someone who genuinely cares—while still knowing the work is being handled professionally and correctly.
